How Galeno Health collects, uses and protects your information.
Who we are
Galeno Health ("Galeno", "we") runs the Galeno patient app, the Galeno Clinic workspace for doctors and clinics, and this website. Questions about privacy: Alfred@galeno.ae.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and sign-in information.
- Health profile: conditions, medications, allergies, family history, measurements and survey answers you enter.
- Reports: lab and radiology files you upload, and the values read from them.
- Device health data: steps, sleep and heart data from Apple Health or Health Connect, only if you allow it.
- Technical data: error reports that help us fix crashes.
How we use it
- To show your health record and send the reminders you set.
- To read your reports and explain your results. Galeno gives health information, not a diagnosis.
- To share your record with the clinics you choose.
Health data is used only for the health features you use. It is never sold and never used for advertising.
Sharing
A clinic sees your record only after you connect to it or show a guest QR code, and only the sections you choose. You can revoke access at any time. Every time a doctor opens your profile, it is recorded.
To read reports we send the file to service providers that process it for us: Google (Gemini and Cloud Vision) and OCR.space. They process it only to return the extracted text and values.
Storage and security
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS. Files are kept in private storage, and secrets are kept in a dedicated vault.
Your rights
You can see and change your information in the app, stop sharing with any clinic, and ask us to delete your account and data. See Delete your account.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and tell you in the app when the change matters.
